In Under 9s & 10s, your child will be introduced to tackling by using the ‘wrap tackle’ – a modified version of tackling where players are ‘bear hugged’ and are not brought to ground.
Under 9s and 10s is a non-competitive environment where play is focused on fun, enjoyment and skill development, rather than on wins and losses. Each player has a turn in 3 zones – forward, midfield and defense.
Training Times:
Pre Season
U9s – Mondays 4:30 to 5:30pm at Alan Nielsen Oval 2 (starting 23 Feb)
U10s – Mondays 4:30 to 5:30pm at St Vincent’s Primary (starting 23 Feb)
In Season
U9s – Mondays 4pm to 5pm at the Club Oval
U10s – Mondays 4:15pm to 5:15pm at Alan Nielsen Ovals
* Note that these locations will swap half way through the season.
Competition starts in Term 2.
Fixtures will be announced in April 2026.
Games are generally on Saturdays.

Uniforms can be purchased online or at Uniform Shop when open.
Registration fees include registration, insurance, a trophy or medal at presentation day, team photo and a heap of fun playing for the Cats throughout the season.
