Sam Robertson

Robbo  was recruited from PBC where he won the Under 16 Best and Fairest in 2008 (kicking 8 in one game) and Runner-up B&F under 16s Stingrays 2008: busy lad in 2008. Prior to PBC he won a B&F in 2005 at Sandhurst (in the Bendigo, Vic. League) in the under 15s. Robbo continued his fine form at Broady in his first year in 2009 winning the under 18s B&F from Macca and Joel Wilkinson, polling 8 votes for equal 10th in the magoos, and having a run in the ones. Big year and the way he is training, expect him to add to his senior total in 2011. The lad can also play a bit of cricket as evidenced through knocking up a 102 in a State Combined Cricket Carnival 2007.

A tenacious rover and high possession player who has bulked up to take on a more varied role. Robbo is often the in and under who takes the ball away from stoppages. He has that ability to accelerate very quickly and seemingly arch his back in eluding opponents while delivering the ball to advantage. In 2010 he played only the one in the seniors but was there or thereabouts each week at the selection table. He put in a wonderful 17 games in the magoos displaying loyalty, perseverence and mental fortitude, and was fortunately on the deck for the only victory.  Another tabata critic.

Pretty normal in other departments having an open crush along with 3.12 million Aussies on Ana Ivanovich, who he admires from a distance while daydreaming in classes of the College for Law and Justice. Her only competitor is his MacBook, and the bullet is lodged just over his right ear.
