Billy O'Donnell

A classy left footer, O'Donnell, has modelled his game on Scott Pendlebury and feels most comfortable on the wing or as a high half-forward.

For a 16-year-old he has achieved much in his short football career; SUNs Academy, vice captaining his U12's QLD side, captain & B&F of U14s Stingrays South, U15s QLD rep, U16s Stingrays captain, U16s QLD leadership group, and perhaps his most memorable moment was captaining the Broadbeach U16s to a premiership against Surfers and later winning the B&F.

Not known for his explosive pace, O'Donnell, earns most of his possessions by endurance running up and down the field and becoming the link man .

He recorded 17 handballs and 4 kicks in a best on ground performance against Northern Territory at the 2012 Under 16's National Championships.

A big future was interrupted by a bout of the dreaded OP which led to a long and monotonous rehab program in 2013 -14 during which time Billy graduated as an elite ping-pong player. Hopefully 2015 will see Billy throw off his injury concerns and plug for a place at the elite level.
While he resumes his career on the deck, Billy passes the time working in a porn video shop off some back lane in Surfers where he also entertains patrons on his guitar.
