Josh Nibbs

A Tasmanian who apperas to have been a scarlett pimpernel of sorts. From what we can gather and that which Nibbsy has told us (he is the quiet type of few words), he played junior footy in Hobart playing in 5 GFs and losing all. Must have been alright Nibbsy, he made his senior dubut at Clarence - home of Royce Hart and a couple of Riewoldts - in 2008 alongside Jack Boon, son of the Barrel, former great batsman and close-in fielder for Australia, and former holder of cans consumed record on flight to Ashes tour. Fifty two in '89 if we are not mistaken.

Had some difficulty finding stats for Clarence but Nibbsy claims around 60 in his 4 seasons in theĀ  Ones including one game we did find when Clarence hosted Claremont in the Foxtel Cup 2011. He played down back and might be seen here if you look carefully.
In 2012 he went from Clarence to the Central Hawks in the Southern FL (Tas) where he was appointed co-captain. Nibbsy knocked up 15 games and was mentioned in the best on 11 occasions. The Central Hawks went into recess in 2013 and we found a trail at Woodsdale footy club in 2015 plus one game for a mob called St Virgils that same year.

Nibbsy is keen to set right his record in GFs and reckons Broady will be his last tilt at a flag. Hard at it, and enjoys it that way, he is the ultimate team player, with or without, the ball - looks for player in better position and uses his voice and presence. Inside and outside off the half back/centre field areas, he is an important link in our transistion plays.

An electrician by day and social butterfly by night he has been experiencing worrisome symptoms of reduced response capacity of the armygdala, resulting in strange emotions towards his team mates..
