A more than promising cricketer and winner of the under 18 B&F in 2010 and run away winner 2011, Shae had a decision to make for 2012. 'A' grade cricket or footy with the Cats. Fortunately we won out, at least for the moment, and Shae is giving it a real crack on the track to ensure he made the correct decision.
He showed he can mix it with men in a couple of late season runs with the Magoos in 2011. 2012 he had a taste of seniors footy while in 2013 he turned up the heat for 10 games at NEAFL level. An unfortunate patella injury left him devestated in 2014 but he has shown the resilience to fight back.
A stylish right footer, fast on the breakaway and in his thinking with courage to boot. Takes a good grab and covers a lot of ground if given freedom. We suspect he may make his mark around the forward half and there is great anticipation of what he may achieve In 2015. Played 13 due to injury with the majority down back taking intercept mark after mark. Ran sixth in the B&F with 44 votes on the back of the 13 games only. Pre-season 2016 has been strutting himeslef around the half forward line. Shae is a seriously good footballer when he uses his leg speed to catch up with his head. Unfortunately he is off to Europe sometime this season - fax, text or phone him to say 'get stuffed, stay for the footy'.
Disciplined and inclined to be aggressive, he is unattractive as well and therefore may make it down back. His Dad thinks he is the world's best AFL tipster.
