Ben Hancock

Started life as a footballer playing juniors for his home club in Gippsland, Vic;  played there until he was 18 which included a couple of state footy games for TAC Cup draft stronghold Gipsland Power.

Moved to the ACT 2011 where he played two years with Tuggeranong in the NEAFL Eastern Conference, his talent caught the eye of the Broadbeach coaching staff and was offered a contract in the off-season.

A coup recruit in 2013, Ben played 17 games in 2013 as a Broadbeach player. Unfortunately he suffered major knee damage and had to stand down in 2014 when he actively supported the club as a runner/trainer. Ready for footy in 2015, Ben eyed off a competitive listing at NEAFL with Southport and as such is a draftee for the Cats in 2015. After his absence from footy for a season, Ben took 5 games before being called up to Sthport., then another 5 at the back end of the season and contributed 16 goals for the season. Unfortunately he suffered a knee injury again in pre season 2016 and will spend this year in the crowd.

A professional rear ender with a nickname to match, Ben passes wind most evenings in public performances on the mall at Broady.
