Ryan Agita hails from Townsvile, Queensland, where it became quite obvious from an early age that he was a natural talent. In 2011 he made the tough decision to pursue AFL instead of rugby league - having had offers from both the GC Suns and NQ Cowboys academies. A smallish, quick, agile player he has already impressed in the GC academy, at state level and national level - yes for Australia. He is sure to feel right at home at Broadbeach..
Suns Talent Academy manager Andrew Johnson said had big raps for the youngster.
"We've seen him develop as a 14-year-old and 15-year-old ... we can see with his pace, agility, his ball-winning ability, his use of the ball - the opportunities for kids with those sorts of attributes are really exciting," he said of Agita, who will next week represent the Queensland under-15s at the National AFL Titles in Canberra
